Deep Space Cultural Footage Plays in Orbit: Youxi Satellite Crosses the Pacific, Screen and Earth's Curve in One Frame
On 11 September, the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory released in-orbit footage from the "Youxi" satellite, showing its onboard screen playing footage from the First National Deep Space Cultural and Creative Works Promotional Event, including scenes from the awards ceremony held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in June, with the screen and the curve of the Earth in one frame as the satellite crosses the Pacific. The First National Deep Space Cultural and Creative Works Promotional Event, co-organised by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory, held its awards ceremony on the PolyU campus on 16 June 2026, receiving over 600 submissions. The First National Deep Space Cultural and Creative Works Promotional Event — Dreaming of Deep Space, Sharing the Future
The Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) have jointly launched the first National Deep Space Cultural and Creative Works Promotional Event, calling for submissions of deep space-themed cultural creative, science popularisation, and data application works.
