Since its establishment in 2023, the Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Education Centre (HKSPSF) has been dedicated to enhancing scientific literacy and science fiction cultural awareness in Hong Kong society. As a non-profit charitable organisation recognised under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, our mission is to promote the integration of science and culture through diverse educational activities, cultivating future scientists, science fiction writers, and leaders.
Our Mission & Activities Education & Training: We provide a rich variety of activities for teachers, students, and the general public, including courses, workshops, competitions, and exhibitions, to strengthen the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the promotion of science fiction culture. International Exchange: We actively participate in international science education and cultural exchange activities, promoting the globalisation of science and culture. Community Collaboration: We collaborate with local and international organisations to promote science education and science fiction creation, such as co-hosting the "Underwater Unmanned Systems Challenge (Hong Kong-Macau Selection)" with Datong Publishing Media Limited.
Why Do We Need Your Support? Although we have achieved certain accomplishments, we need more resources and funding to continue expanding our impact and realising more innovative projects. Your support will be directly used for: Updating and Expanding Educational Resources: Purchasing and updating teaching equipment, developing new educational courses and materials. Expanding Activity Scope: Increasing the variety and participation of activities, such as expanding the scale and influence of competitions. Enhancing International Cooperation: Funding teachers and students to participate in international conferences and exchanges, introducing advanced international science education concepts and resources.
