
About the Event
The Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) have jointly launched the first National Deep Space Cultural and Creative Works Promotional Event, themed "Dreaming of Deep Space, Sharing the Future". The event calls for outstanding cultural and creative works related to deep space exploration from across society, with the aim of advancing the synergy between science popularisation and technological innovation, and injecting youthful energy into China's deep space exploration endeavours.
Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Academy (HKSPSF), as one of the supporting organisations, cordially invites members of the public, science enthusiasts, and students to participate in this stellar creative gathering.
Who Can Participate
Open Group
Open to all members of society, including enterprises, research institutions, teams (up to 4 members), and individual creators.
Student Group
Currently enrolled students or student teams with valid student identification, including secondary school, university, and other educational institutions (teams of up to 4 members).
Submission Categories (Choose One)
- Creative Works: IP characters, logos, artworks, and cultural derivatives
- Science Popularisation: Videos, infographics, interactive programmes, and models
- Data Application: Design schemes based on deep space exploration data
Core Requirements
- Works must demonstrate originality, scientific rigour, innovation, and practicality
- Works should align closely with the direction of China's aerospace cultural development
- No infringement or inappropriate content
- Works must consciously uphold national and public interests
- If AI tools are used in the creation process, this must be clearly labelled; failure to do so will result in disqualification
Timeline
- Call for Entries: Now until 30 April 2026
- Expert Review: 1 May to 15 May 2026
- Offline Final Evaluation and Events: Mid-June 2026, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Rewards and Honours
- Winners will receive certificates of honour and official DSEL cultural creative products
- Outstanding winners may attend a space launch mission in person
- Participate in international exchanges on deep space exploration
- Opportunity to become an official cultural creative brand partner designer
- Outstanding works may be selected for the China International Communications Group (CICG) "Shared Screen Between Heaven and Earth" satellite series
- Winners may join the "Running Partner Programme", gaining contract eligibility for the deep space exploration IP "Deep Space Singularity" and professional mentorship
- Winning student teams and outstanding supervising teachers may receive hands-on experience in rocket launch study programmes
