In this context, the Model United Nations Sustainable Development Conference comes at the right time, providing young people with a platform to delve into sustainable development issues, allowing them to consult on development issues from a global perspective, discuss response strategies together, and urge us to focus more firmly on the sustainable development agenda.
The Chinese government attaches great importance to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to implement the sustainable development strategic deployment of the United Nations and China, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council pointed out in the "Overall Plan for Deepening Education Evaluation Reform in the New Era" that we should actively carry out international cooperation in education evaluation, participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the education goals of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, highlight Chinese concepts, and contribute Chinese solutions. The Ministry of Education and eight other departments also emphasized in their opinions on comprehensively deploying to accelerate and expand the opening up of education in the new era: we must expand the supply of international public products for education, deepen cooperation with important international organizations, and promote the implementation of clear requirements such as the education goals of the UN "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".
Through this event, youth representatives will deeply understand the current status and challenges of global sustainable development, improve their ability to analyze and solve complex international problems, consult and discuss, decide and practice from an international perspective, and contribute their creativity and strength to promoting sustainable development.
