Recently, the "Science Fiction Enlightens the Future — Aerospace and Science Popularization on Campus" series of lecture activities, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Academy (HKSPSF) and the Hong Kong International Exchange Foundation, and co-organized by the Science and Fantasy Growth Foundation, was held in Hong Kong campuses. This activity aims to stimulate the interest of primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong to explore aerospace science, improve scientific literacy, promote the popularization and development of science education and science fiction culture, and lay a foundation for cultivating future scientists and science fiction writers.

Chen Liuqi, a national science popularization and science fiction education promoter, Vice President of Beijing Yuanyu Science Fiction Future Technology Research Institute, and Founder of HKSPSF, and Liu Yong, China Aerospace Science Popularization Ambassador and Researcher at the National Space Science Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), entered the campus and came among the students.

In the theme lecture "The Road to Science Fiction Coming True" for primary school students, Chen Liuqi used vivid examples and sharp contrasts to let students realize the important role of science fiction in the progress of science and technology in reality. By reviewing the leapfrogging journey of China's aerospace industry from "Dongfanghong-1" to the "Tiangong" space station, she told the students that many aircraft, orbital laboratories, and intelligent robots that once only existed in science fiction novels and movies have gradually sprouted in reality. She encouraged students to combine imaginative thinking with the spirit of scientific inquiry, inspire creativity in the process of reading science fiction works, and believe that future technological innovations are born from the seeds of fantasy sown every day today.

In the theme lecture "Flying Dream Comes True" for secondary school students, Liu Yong vividly told the students about the magical journey of human exploration of space and the great achievements made by China Aerospace in lunar exploration, Mars exploration, and manned spaceflight. He not only narrated the achievements of China's manned spaceflight but also told the students about the hardships behind these achievements. At the lecture site, students enthusiastically answered questions, creating a warm atmosphere. Many students expressed their hope to become astronauts serving the motherland in the future.

The lecture was highly praised by the schools where the activities were held. School leaders such as Vice Principal Ms. Chan Ching Yan of South Tuen Mun Government Secondary School, Principal Mr. Sit Cheong Wah of CCC Rotary Secondary School, Vice Principal Ms. Lam Siu Ping of CCC Kei Wa Primary School, and Principal Mr. Chow Kim Ho of Tsuen Wan Trade Association Primary School, praised that this lecture has profound significance in improving students' scientific literacy, scientific and technological innovation spirit, and scientific and cultural awareness. Students benefited a lot, and they look forward to more science popularization activities entering the campus in the future.

It is reported that the Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Academy (HKSPSF), established in April 2023, is the first non-profit organization in Hong Kong focusing on the promotion of science popularization and science fiction education. It is committed to improving the scientific literacy, scientific and technological innovation spirit, and scientific and cultural awareness of teenagers and the public, and cultivating future talents with innovative spirit. The center was jointly founded by experts, scholars, and enthusiasts from fields such as universities, scientific research institutions, science popularization and communication, science education, and science fiction culture and promotion. Relying on Hong Kong's international educational advantages, the center aims to promote scientific knowledge and science fiction culture, and stimulate the scientific interest, innovative spirit, and imagination of teenagers and the public through various methods such as courses, competitions, exhibitions, academic exchanges, and cross-regional cooperation.

Since its establishment, HKSPSF has successfully held activities such as the Underwater Unmanned Systems Challenge (Hong Kong & Macau Selection), China Science Fiction Convention Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Science Fiction Integration Forum, the 8th Shenzhen (International) Science and Technology Film and Television Week, and the 2023 Global Selection of Top Ten Science Fiction Cities.
