During the "2023 National Science Popularization Day" event of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), various forms of science popularization programs were held across the country. On December 22, CAST announced the 1465 "Excellent Organization Units" and 1749 "Excellent Activities" selected through evaluation. The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences, Hong Kong Science Museum, and Hong Kong Space Museum were also included in the list.

Sky Show "Mars 1001" – A science popularization program broadcast by the Space Museum from May 2023 to the end of April 2024. The content tells the story of astronauts from different countries joining hands to complete the first manned mission to Mars, embarking on a 1001-day adventure to unveil the mystery of Mars! Ominmax Show "Fungi: The Web of Life" – A science popularization program broadcast by the Space Museum from January to September 2023. Viewers can join renowned British biologist Dr. Merlin Sheldrake to enter the ancient temperate rainforest to find rare and weird fungi – a life form that has survived five mass extinctions on Earth – and explore how to use fungi to solve some severe environmental challenges plaguing big cities. Future Science Prize Week – Jointly organized by the "Future Science Prize" and The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences, and funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission. Activities include screening sessions, sharing sessions, academic summits, award ceremonies, etc. The prize sets up three major awards: "Life Science Prize, Physical Science Prize, Mathematics and Computer Science Prize", with a single prize of 1 million US dollars.
