The 2nd Hong Kong Science Fair Attracts Over 20,000 Visitors, 120 Primary and Secondary School Teams Showcase Creative Achievements

The 2nd Hong Kong Science Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Innovation Foundation, was held for two consecutive days (June 17-18) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. During the exhibition, 120 local and international primary and secondary school innovation teams showcased their creative achievements.

During the exhibition, 120 local and international primary and secondary school innovation teams showcased their creative achievements. The exhibition received about 400 entries from nearly 1,200 Primary 4 to Secondary 6 students and teachers from nearly 120 local and international schools. The themes revolved around four major categories: "Smart City and Smart Home", "Medical and Healthcare", "Sustainability", and "Fancy Ideas". Teachers and students of the 120 shortlisted teams introduced their creative ideas and R&D processes at the Science Fair. Among them, C. & M. A. Chui Chak Lam Memorial School won the Primary School Division Gold Award with "AI Doorman"; St. Stephen's Girls' College won the Junior Secondary Division Gold Award with "Wise Box"; and Bishop Hall Jubilee School won the Senior Secondary Division Gold Award. The "Dolphin Defender" of Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School was voted by the public on-site as the winner of the "Most Popular Design Award".
